Welcome to your new favorite 

Picture this, September 1985, a young girl starting the first day of 3rd grade at a new school not knowing anyone, the teacher introduces you to a new friend and says to the little blonde girl “Kristen, this is Casey. She’s new to this school, can you please show her around and make her feel welcome.” That was 40 years ago. We’ve seen each other through life’s ups and downs, weddings, funerals, kids and health scares. As kids we were and are inseparable, like two peas in a pod ( the meaning behind the sweet peas in our logo).  For years we dreamed of owning and operating a business together. 

As two very creative and imaginative,neurodivergent adult women that have raised neurodivergent children we understand the effect that scents and fragrances can have on a person with sensory issues (ourselves included). That being said, we have always had a love for scented candles and wax melts. Having the ability to lift ourselves up, help calm ourselves down and improve our creativity and focus just by changing how your environment smells is empowering. We wanted to share this with others by creating sustainable high quality products made by hand,with a whole lot of love (plus a sprinkle of chaos—because, well, we’re moms). 

We chose soy wax because it aligns with everything we believe in—sustainability, simplicity, and soulful living. As two ADHD moms with a passion for crafting meaningful, eco-conscious products, it matters to us that what we create is as clean and kind as it is cozy. Soy is a natural, renewable resource that burns cleaner and longer than traditional paraffin, giving our candles a soft, lingering glow without the toxins. It’s part of our bigger promise: to create small-batch goods that feel good, smell incredible, and leave a lighter footprint on the planet. Because taking care of your space shouldn’t come at the cost of taking care of the Earth.

Our mission is simple: to light up your life—naturally and unapologetically. Whether you’re soaking up some solo time with a candle or clearing the air (literally and energetically), we’re here to help you romanticize the little moments, reclaim your space, and turn your everyday life into something worth lighting a match for.

What started as a “what if” between two friends quickly turned into late-night brainstorms, spilled wax, and a whole lot of laughs. We’re Kristen and Casey—two neurospicy moms with a shared obsession for all things that smell amazing and soothe the soul. Krikit & Crab was born out of burnout, daydreams, and a deep need for creativity that actually meant something. Through every mess, meltdown, and magical breakthrough, we poured our friendship—and our fire—into building something cozy, intentional, and real. These aren’t just candles and melts. They’re tiny, scent-filled reminders that your space (and your story) deserve to be lit up.
